Diemersdal Cape Town Pinotage

Diemersdal Pinotage is a modern, polished expression of South Africa’s signature grape. The nose is complex, offering red berries, dark cherry, vanilla, exotic spices and dark chocolate. On the palate it is full-flavoured and smoothly textured, with layers of spice, chocolate and the variety’s hallmark hint of roasted banana, all framed by ripe, well-integrated tannins. Grapes come from cool Hutton soils in Durbanville and the wine spends around 14 months in tanks, adding depth and structure without masking the fruit. A Pinotage that drinks beautifully now but will reward a few years in the cellar. Ideal with lamb shank, hearty beef or oxtail stews, slow-cooked pork and grilled meats.
