Thelema The Abbey

The Abbey is the estate’s juicy, spicy “mini icon” – plenty of dark fruit and real depth without losing drinkability. The nose offers cherry, plum, pepper and dried herbs, while the palate is full-bodied yet balanced with lively acidity and a long, spicy finish. A blend of classic Rhône varieties, fermented in tank and then aged in French oak to add structure and complex spice notes. Thelema works with low yields and hand harvesting, and The Abbey shows just how much quality they can pack into a still accessible price point. Great with lamb, slow-cooked stews, spicy sausages and rich vegetarian dishes with beans and mushrooms.
