Diemersdal Pinotage Reserve

Pinotage Reserve is the more concentrated, luxurious big brother to the estate Pinotage, made from the best parcels and given extended barrel ageing. The nose is intense with dark blackberry, cassis, plum, coffee, cocoa, olives and sweet spice, while the palate is deep and structured with dense fruit, a full body and a long, spicy finish. Old bush vines, low yields and deep red Hutton soils deliver serious concentration, while around 16 months in French barriques – with a healthy proportion of new oak – add complexity and cellaring potential. A serious yet keenly priced top Pinotage from one of South Africa’s leading estates. Excellent with entrecôte, lamb, game, BBQ and powerful cheeses.
